In the year 1915, Reverend Edgar invited the Morgan Memorial by representatives of a workshop mission in Brooklyn, New York. Reverend Edgar later persuaded them to change the name to “Goodwill Industries, “and that was when the Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries was born and has grown to date to be an international movement.

They have grown since then to have other member organizations in the United States and other countries which are independent social enterprises that operate their regional Goodwill retail stores.
